Gorgeous museum-grade reproduction of John Singer Sargent's 'Tiepolo Ceiling, Milan' watercolour. This piece was part of a series focused on exploring more decorative Italian schemes, and recreates the Palazzo Clerici ceiling frescoes by the Venetian painter Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. Sargent masterfully balances light and colour to capture a sense of grandeur and decadence, while only hinting at the form and detail of the study itself. This is a truly expressive and high-texture piece, ideal for those looking for a more lively, abstract interpretation of classical art.
