Digitally restored antique engraving of Roman god Bacchus; originally engraved by Cornelis Bloemaert II, after François Perrier. Bacchus is the Roman equivalent of Dionysus – the Greek god of wine, fertility and festivity. One of the later additions to the pantheon, artistic interpretations of the god vary wildly; apt for his role as a patron of theatre and actors, as well as his association with frenzy and rebirth.
All antique engravings are meticulously restored and enhanced for flawless, high definition print. These prints offer a timeless portrayal of classical antiquity, and are a great blend of historical elegance and modern chic.

As each piece is custom printed and framed just for you, I'm unable to accept the return of unwanted items. In the rare event of transit damage or misprint issues, please contact me with your order number and a photo of the problem to arrange a speedy replacement.
