'Hadrian'
An imperial depiction of Hadrian in full military regalia, wearing a gorgon-headed cuirass (armour), draping sagum (cloak) and oak-leaf crown. The marble statue dates to approximately 117-138 AD, likely commissioned or dedicated in his lifetime, currently displayed at the Antalya Museum, Turkey. This black and white photograph looks up at the emperor, focusing on his stern expression, capturing the sense of power and confidence inherent to his influential reign.
